Southwell and Warwick Runners

WE are heading down to Southwell today with AAZZA (5.00) who runs in their 3m handicap hurdle.

She was put up 3lbs for her last run at Bangor, where she was a narrowly beaten second last month, so we’ll be taking 5 off her back with Ed Austin’s claim today. Aazza has been holding her form really well in the last few runs and has been in great form since the spring.

We know she likes the track after winning there in April so we’re heading back there confident she will be competitive this afternoon.

Tomorrow night OKAVANGO DELTA (8.40) will run at Warwick in a four-runner handicap chase over two-and-a-half miles under Ryan Mania.

They did brilliantly to win at Worcester a few weeks ago so he’s been put up 4lbs for that and obviously things get a bit tougher with the higher rating.

But he’s in great form at home, and bar his run at Doncaster in January has been really consistent throughout 2025.

We believe there’s more to come from him despite the rise and carrying top weight tomorrow, so hopefully we’ll see the good form of the yard keep rolling.

It’s going to be a busy week, with four entered at Perth on Sunday.

Paul Robson Racing Club horse Away She Goes will run in the 2m handicap hurdle, while Kelso winner Our Girl Sal, Inoue and Briezh River are also entered.

We’ll let you know after declarations what our thoughts on their races are.
