Ravenswell – Carlisle

RAVENSWELL (3.15) heads to Carlisle tomorrow in a race we think he can run well in.

He’s not been great out of the stalls so far, which has been the weakest part of his racing, so we’re hoping he’s improved on that.

Even if he is a bit slow away, Carlisle is a track you get away with it more than most. He ran here twice in June and July under Paul Mulrennan both times, but Cam Hardie rides him again after being on top at Ayr last month.

He’ll know him a bit better for that experience, the 1m3f on a stiff track will help and his handicap mark has dropped a fair bit, down to 53 from where it was at 64 when we got him earlier this summer.

He’s been working away well at home so we think he’s got a decent chance of finishing placed.
