Okavango Delta – Worcester

WE have taken a long trip south to Worcester today with OKAVANGO DELTA (2.00) because there wasn’t a 0-110 over two-and-a-half miles anywhere in the north so we had to look further afield.

That’s no hardship though because it’s a track I really like, it was one of my favourites when I was riding many moons ago.

This a competitive race, Dan Skelton’s horse God’s Own Getaway looks tasty and so does Abingworth for the Moores after winning the last twice, so it will take a bit of winning.

Okavango is in good fettle at home, he’s fit despite having had a break since running at Doncaster in January. He wants a flat track so this will be ideal, he’s run well at Musselburgh before and even though it’s left-handed today there are similarities so we expect him to go well.

The course has been watered, it’s looking beautiful and they’ve produced really nice, good ground so it will be right up his street.

He travelled down last night and seems to have handled that well, so we’re hoping he’ll run a competitive race.

Ryan Mania rode him at Doncaster a few months ago so they team up again and hopefully we can keep the great form of the yard going.
