Imaginary Dragon – Ayr

IMAGINARY DRAGON (2.20) makes his stable debut for us tomorrow at Ayr, running in their two-and-a-half mile handicap hurdle.

He went novice chasing last year but after speaking to his owners Charles Turner and Nicola Grieve, as well as Ryan Mania, and we’ve agreed to bring him back over hurdles.

He had a good mark over hurdles in the past and ran in some nice races so we think this is the best way to go with him for the time being.

Since he joined us he’s worked well at home, it’s his first run since February so we’ll learn more about him on Wednesday.

Ayr have had plenty of rain so given he’s a past winner on soft, the conditions should be ideal.

Hopefully he can show a promising first run for us in what looks like a pretty competitive class 4 race.

Our Racing Club horse Away She Goes is entered to run at Sedgefield on Thursday so we’re looking forward to getting her back on the track.

She was a star for us in the spring and early summer, winning at Kelso to give the Paul Robson Racing Club its first winner.

We gave her a break after two placed efforts back at Kelso then up at Perth, so she’s refreshed and ready to get going again.

While it’s great the rain has come to soften up a lot of the courses around the country, Sedgefield is one we don’t want getting too easy underfoot over the next 48 hours!
