Breizh River – Cartmel

BRIEZH RIVER (4.43) runs at Cartmel today stepping back to 2m5f after trying a longer trip at Perth last time out.

He’s got to carry a lot of weight here, lining up with 12st on his back, but that’s reflective of his ability and we believe there’s still more to come from him. We know he wasn’t right last year after winning at Kelso in October and we’ve dealt with his wind.

This will be his second run back from the wind operation so hopefully that will bring out a bit of improvement in him too.

He jumped and travelled well at Perth before just being stretched by the trip, so stepping back was always in our mind after that day.

This is Ryan’s first ride back after a summer break so he’s excited about getting going again on him.

If Breizh River takes to Cartmel then I think he’s got a lot in his favour today and he’ll run a nice race.
