Ayr Tuesday

ARCTIC AMBITION (3.40) lines up in a class 4 hurdle over three miles at Ayr on Tuesday following a break since his last outing at Cartmel in the summer. He’s probably in a grade too high for him with this 0-120 race, although it does mean he’s at the bottom end of the handicap. His previous form in Ireland suggests he could run well, although he probably prefers a slightly shorter distance.

We had him entered in the two-and-a-half mile race as well but opted for the three mile instead because it looked to be a less competitive race. There will be more suitable targets for him further down the line so while he’s going there to do his best, he’ll probably benefit from the run so we’re not expecting too much.
