Ayr Runners

A busy weekend over two days at Ayr where we’ll have four runners across Friday and Saturday.

First up will be FREEDOM DAY (3.00) who is having his third run for us but really only his second after unshipping Craig Nichol at the first at Musselburgh last month! We are looking to build on his run at Newcastle a couple of weeks ago. He’s still very much a work-in-progress and it’s about teaching him to settle.

He wears a hood for the first time so hopefully that has a positive impact and if we can finish in the first half of the field that would be a step forward. Ryan Mania rides.

FETE CHAMPETRE (4.40) has his second run for us. He’s doing everything right at home, he’s working away well. He’s top weight in the race for a reason so he’s giving away plenty of weight but being a big horse he can handle that.

It would be nice to get a decent run from him for Mr and Mrs Davidson, who supported us by keeping him here when we moved in last summer.

On Saturday L’INSURGE and LATOSCA DU HOUX (5.10) are two four-year-olds making their stable debuts in the bumper. L’Insurge is our new Racing Club horse who was supposed to run at Newcastle on Monday but we took him out because of the ground. A lovely long-term prospect, we’re excited to get him going.

The same goes for Latosca (pictured above), a beautiful filly by Gris De Gris who has been working away well and is ready to get to the track for the next stage of her development.
